Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is set to host its 28th edition, evolving into the world’s largest and most influential club-based festival and conference for electronic music. With over 2,900 artists participating in over 1000 events across 200+ venues throughout the city, ADE showcases every conceivable aspect of electronic music culture. Here are some highlights from the ADE 2023 program:
1. ADE Pro:
ADE Pro provides a comprehensive understanding of the music industry, featuring speakers like Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Claptone, Dillon Francis, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas, DJ Minx, Grandmaster Flash, and many more. Industry insights will be shared by brands such as Beatport, DGTL, Sony Music, Spotify, TikTok, and TuneCore.
2. ADE Lab:
ADE Lab serves as a platform for the next generation of creators, artists, DJs, and music professionals. Speakers include A-Trak, Armin van Buuren, DJ Bone, Nicky Romero, and Yoshiko, among others.
3. Arts & Culture:
The program explores topics like mental health, technological innovation, and cultural impact, focusing on creating accessibility and connection in a sustainable way for local and international makers in the night and dance culture.
4. ADE Festival:
ADE Festival showcases the full spectrum of electronic subgenres in Amsterdam's nightlife spaces. Confirmed artists include Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Ben Klock, CamelPhat, Charlotte de Witte, Claptone, Jamie Jones, Peggy Gou, Solomun, The Martinez Brothers, and many more.
5. ADE Green:
ADE Green, held on Friday, emphasizes environmental consciousness and sustainability in the electronic music industry. Topics covered include circular and climate-neutral events, renewable energy, CO2 compensation, social safety in clubs and festivals, and mental health.
6. ADE Startups:
ADE introduces a new startup conference, ADE Startups, showcasing innovative ideas in music and tech. The program also introduces The Chorus, a community empowering the next generation of innovators.
ADE continues to play a vital role in nurturing electronic music, its culture, and industry worldwide, setting the agenda for events and festivals and driving initiatives in the electronic music industry. The event is organized by the Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to stimulating development, innovation, and talent in the electronic music industry.
