Balaton Sound is one of Europe's largest open air electronic music festivals. Held annually since 2007 on the southern bank of Lake Balaton, Hungary, it features live acts and DJs from all around the world, from established artists to new names. The event was co-created by the organizers of Sziget Festival.

TRANSPORTATION:
Balaton Sound is located in Zamárdi, a small town on the southern shores of Lake Balaton. As the distance between Budapest and Zamárdi is only 110 km, you can reach the festival easily from the capital. There are several options to get to the festival, and for getting around the area, in case you decide to stay in one of the neighboring towns. Let us help you to find the best solution for both!
By Balaton Sound Private Minivan Transfer - It doesn't matter if you are travelling alone or with your friends, a private transfer is possible for all of these scenarios. The private transfer will take you directly to your hotel (to Siófok, Zamárdi or Balatonföldvár). No searching for a taxi, pushing in a crowded bus or train, simply a private transfer to start your Balaton Sound in a relaxing way. The same is true for your return trip to the airport, because even the longest vacation has to come to an end. But thanks to our private transfer you can reach the airport in a relaxed way. By Car - Balaton Sound is easily accessible by car with just a couple of hours driving. From Budapest: Take M7 to M1 in Budaörs then continue on M7. Follow M7 to Zamárdi. Take exit 112 from M7. Continue on Siófoki u./Route 7 and then take Szent István utca. In case you are coming from a different town then we suggest to use Google Maps Directions and simply type Balaton Sound as a destination.
*Please note that arriving by car is the least advised option because there are limited parking options near Balaton Sound.

By Train - Travel by train to Balaton Sound! You can get to Zamárdi quickly from Budapest and also from the other settlements of Lake Balaton. Trains run around the clock during the festival, and what’s more, Zamárdi railway station is approximately 15-20 minute walk from the festival venue.
By Bus - Scheduled coaches leave every day from Budapest Népliget Coach Terminal. The journey time is between 2 and 3 hours depending on the particular coach taken.
By Bus Transfer @ Balaton - If you are travelling within Balaton cities, take the Festival bus. All information will be available about this option 2 weeks prior the Festival.
By Taxi - Official partners of Balaton Sound are Főtaxi and 6x6 Taxi. Please make sure you only use them when calling or ordering a cab to avoid any inconvenience.
