Sziget Festival is one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. It is held every August in northern Budapest, Hungary, on Óbudai-sziget, a leafy 108-hectare island on the Danube. More than 1,000 performances take place each year.

On-site camping options:
Basic camping
Camp for FREE! With your 6-Day Pass, 3-Day Pass or day tickets (at least for two consecutive days) you can camp at Sziget Festival at the designated basic camping zones, almost anywhere, except program venues and closed upgrade campings.
Siesta Camping
Siesta during Fiesta! Fantastic shady camping spots, extra services and a cool vibe - Siesta Camping provides you all of these. Super-nice area at the Western part of the island is awaiting everyone looking for a little rest. Not to mention that the Sziget Beach is really close!
Park Camping
If you don't want to walk too far from the entrance with your luggage, the west side located Park Camping is definitely the place for you. No need to worry about the blazing sun in the morning, as this camping is full of trees.
Sziget Ville
The Eastern located Sziget Ville is the is the home of all their glamping accommodations. A great option if you don't want to bother with pitching your own tent. Try out their newbies like The Rose, The Who, The Boss or Igloo Box.
Caravan Camping
Pull your home to the Island! Bring your own caravan and enjoy your own well-known comfort in this specially allocated upgrade camping! Here you can get a spot for your caravan and you can use the extra shower and toilet facilities provided for this camping!
Podpadopolis
All the colorful cuties are located in this special area on the North-Eastern part of the Island. Pick one of the many types of Podpads from 2 up to 8 friends, with basic or luxury fecilities. If you're looking for an upgraded service level, here’s a nice solution for you.

Don’t bother bringing and building a tent! Why bring an extra baggage with you, if you can arrive straight to your tent, already built for you? Choose this option, so you don't have to hassle with all the pitching!
Wooden Hut
Enjoy relaxing in one of our wooden houses with sniffing not only the wood’s flavour but also the Festival experience as well. These are built in the Sziget Ville in 3 options: for 2, 3 or for 4 persons. Close the door when you’re tired and open it when you’re ready to party again!

Te(n)mpting accommodation! Not everyone wants to pitch and pack away their own tent and hassle of lugging it. Do you recognize yourself? Then the Bell tent is built for you. A leisurely and comfy festival experience.

The Igloo BoX™ is completely weatherproof and insulated comes with air conditioner and air filter, located in the Sziget Ville (South side of Sziget).

Márton Áron Hostel
Want to stay really close to Sziget? This hostel is located 20 mins walk from the entrance. Blankets, pillows, bedsheets, and fridge are included, and you can use the washing machines, bicycle storage for extra charge. Available for 2 or 4 persons.

By bike
Bike to Sziget and enjoy free bike storage, a quick repair facility, and rental services! You can get to the festival on the dedicated bicycle road through H-bridge and use the dedicated bycicle storage there. Please approach the H bridge from the southern quay (Gr. Esterházy János rkp).
By taxi
You can take a taxi from the airport (there is an official taxi spot right at the exit on the ground floor), the journey to Sziget Festival takes around 45 minutes. If you want to arrive from your hotel/appartement you can easily order a cab through our official sponsors Főtaxi, 6x6 Taxi or at BOLT Taxi. Download their apps!
By public transport
From the Airport
Take 100E towards Deák Ferenc tér M (City centre) - price is 1500 HUF, then change at Deák Ferenc tér to Metro 2 (M2) to Batthyány tér. Change to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 1 and a half hour.

From Nyugati Railway Station
Take tram 4 or 6 in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér, then change at Margit Híd Budai Hídfő to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 35 mins.
From Keleti Railway Station
Take Metro 3 in the direction of Déli Pályaudvar, then change at Batthyány tér to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 45 mins.
From Déli Railway Station

At the festival site you can find the following facilities & amenities:
Food & Drinks - All around Sziget, visitors will find small restaurant centres that reflect the exciting culinary world of the festival. Dishes of various nationalities, exciting products of the Hungarian cuisine, Hungary’s most important wines, and the very intricate palinka culture will be represented this year. Sziget, The Island of Freedom, will also host ruin pubs that are one of Budapest’s many characteristics and are very popular among the youth. Apart from the usual cuisines you can taste Indian, Transylvanian, Greek, Italian, French, Mexican, Bavarian and Thai food, while you can try boiled corn, various types of baked dough, pizza, giant pancakes and hot dog. You’ll even find waffles that are becoming more and more popular around the globe. Vegetarian food is also available in an incredible variety. If you are thirsty, feel free to visit one of the many dozen pubs, wine pavilions, palinka houses and beer springs.
Lockers - There will be various lockers at the festival and camping site.
Toilets & Showers - There are several toilet facilities available for you on the spot! We kindly ask you not to use trees, bushes and green areas as toilets. Shower facilities can be used with a 7 Days Pass, 5 Days Pass or day tickets for two consecutive days. Please keep the showers and toilets as clean as possible and try to avoid wasting water.
Merchandise Stands - Take home Sziget! Merch items are available at several stores onsite!
First Aid - During the Festival, there will be a first aid point indicated on the map that can assist with medical service.
