I Want Your Soul by Armand van Helden has received an official remix on Southern Fried Records for the first time in nearly ten years, this time by none other than Mau P. The gifted DJ and producer created a banging modern track while largely preserving the distinctive sound of the original. After Armand van Helden's remix of "Drugs From Amsterdam" back in March, the two artists engaged in a collaboration that included the Mau P remix.
Mau P: “Being told that the I Want Your Soul edit I made was going to become an official release was another pinch me moment. Armand van Helden is one of my all time heroes and I Want Your Soul is such a classic. I must’ve played it hundreds of times at house parties and even to this day it always hits the spot. I hope I did the track justice with my version, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”
Due to its extraordinary infectiousness, I Want Your Soul has become one of the all-time greats and is well-known throughout the world. To this day, performers like Peggy Gou and Marco Carola have found instant success with I Want Your Soul. The album is a prime example of Armand van Helden's talent as a producer and has withstood the test of time unlike any other.
Possibly the fastest rise to fame in recent dance music history is being led by Mau P right now. Less than a year after he made his breakthrough with the legendary song "Drugs From Amsterdam," At a previously unheard-of rate, Mau P is achieving milestones. The aforementioned debut was the forerunner to other lucrative releases and has now received over 100 million streams on Spotify alone. For his most recent release on Afterlife with Metro, Mau P joined up with Kevin de Vries. After standing out in Tale of Us setups, Metro has become one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
Following his debut at Tomorrowland last weekend, Mau P is currently performing around the US, notably at Marquee Dayclub in Las Vegas and Elrow in New York. Additionally, Mau P stated that he will perform from opening to closing at his first-ever headlining Amsterdam Dance Event performance at Thuishaven on Wednesday, October 18.
